Goldfinger Track Club

Code Of Conduct

Goldfinger Track Club (GFTC) members are expected to maintain proper conduct during workouts, activities, and races. Members should always show respect to teammates and opponents and behave in a manner that ensures everyone's safety. Members must avoid actions that could negatively impact the club and its members.

Members of GFTC should choose their words carefully and refrain from speaking negatively about others. This applies to interactions with teammates, members of other running clubs, and opponents during workouts, activities, races, or in public forums on the Internet.

GFTC members are expected to create a comfortable and welcoming environment for all. Interactions should be respectful and must avoid any behavior that could be construed as discrimination or sexual harassment. Sexual harassment is defined as "unwanted sexual advances or visual, verbal, or physical conduct of a sexual nature."

Members are required to respect the age, religion, ethnic background, gender, and sexual orientation of all individuals. While GFTC operates as both a sports and social club, discrimination and unwanted advances toward any member are unacceptable. Every member has the right to an environment free from discrimination and harassment.

GFTC members should recognize and celebrate the accomplishments and efforts of others, encouraging all teammates and opponents to excel. Remember that members represent the club as ambassadors to the wider community.

It is the responsibility of GFTC members to adhere to this Code of Conduct and report any inappropriate actions or behaviors to a club officer. Membership may be terminated either by a member’s resignation or by a majority vote of the club for violations of this Code of Conduct.

Members are also expected to follow all competition rules in races they participate in. Those found in violation may face reprimands, suspensions, or other disciplinary actions.

GFTC takes code of conduct violations seriously, particularly regarding issues such as buying, selling, or transferring race numbers, along with other competition rule violations. Members found to have violated these rules will have their membership terminated for the remainder of the calendar year. They may reapply for membership after this period.
